300th Anniversary Flower Festival

June 13th to June 15th 2003

To  celebrate the 300th anniversary of John Wesley’s birth, the man responsible for the development of Methodism in Great Britian.  We held a wonderful flower festival. The church was packed with displays created to interpret some of the events in Wesley’s life, and his famous hymns.

The festival was reported in many of the local papers, and enjoyed by lots of people from around the village and all over North Hampshire.

  • If you came and saw the flower festival, we would love to hear your comments about your visit, and what you thought of the displays.

Note from the organiser

My most sincere and grateful thanks to the many friends who came together to make our John Wesley Flower Festival so successful, particularly to all the flower arrangers, Junior Church, Philippa and Emma and all the very efficient catering staff.

I am sure the lovely weather helped to create the super atmosphere which many visitors remarked upon.

My thanks to you all once again and please accept this as a personal note to save me writing to you all individually
